Introduction

Backbeat Cam (“the App”) is a time-shift camera app developed by an independent developer. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the App.

Information We Collect

Camera & Microphone Data

The App accesses your camera and microphone to provide time-shifted video playback and clip saving. All recorded video and audio is stored only on your device. We do not transmit any recordings to external servers.

Usage Data (Anonymous)

We use Firebase Analytics (provided by Google LLC) to collect anonymous usage data for service improvement:

• App usage patterns (launch count, session duration, feature usage)
• Device information (OS version, device model)
• App crash reports (via Firebase Crashlytics)

This data is collected in a non-personally identifiable form.

Advertising Data

We use Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect:

• Advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, Advertising ID on Android)
• General device and network information

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA) and UK, personalized ads are only shown with your explicit consent via the GDPR consent dialog.

Purchase Data

We use RevenueCat to manage in-app purchases. RevenueCat processes:

• Anonymous user identifiers
• Purchase and subscription status

RevenueCat does not collect personal information such as names or email addresses. For details, see RevenueCat’s Privacy Policy.

Information We Do NOT Collect

• Names, email addresses, or other personal identifiers
• Location data
• Contacts
• Content of your recordings

Data Storage

Saved clips (video files) are stored only in your device’s local storage. Uninstalling the App will delete all app data stored on your device.

Data Retention

• Local data (clips, settings): Retained until you delete them or uninstall the App
• Analytics data: Retained by Firebase for up to 14 months, then automatically deleted
• Crash data: Retained by Firebase Crashlytics for 90 days
• Ad data: Subject to Google’s data retention policies

Children’s Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated through the App.
